Welcome

This site is for you and your family!  You may have one child or a dozen – from diapers to diplomas.  Your family may be blissfully happy or deeply hurting.  Perhaps your a struggling single parent or an involved grandparent; a third generation believer or just starting your new life in Christ.

Wherever you are, Well-Versed Living is here to inspire and help you hide God’s word in your hearts.  My hope is that this site will be a “silver and gold mine” – a place where you’ll find treasures of truth, get great info and super simple ideas, interact with me and one another, share your victories and struggles, and find a community of support for all things Bible memory.

What’s the “LEARN.  LINK.  LIVE God’s Word.” tag line all about?

In my book, The Well-Versed Family, I explain “3 Keys for Successful Memorization”: 1) Repetition and Review  2) Association and Connection  3) Application (Golden Key!)

Each of these keys is found in the Bible and is supported by sound memory-study research.  The 3 Keys work!  To simplify them – and make them more memorable – I created the tag line:

LEARN.  (repetition and review)

LINK.  (association and connection)

LIVE.  (application)

When I post a verse or passage, I’ll usually include a memory tip for LEARNING; a picture, word, activity, or mneumonic device for LINKING; and/or an idea for LIVING out the verse in your daily lives.  I know you’ll strike gold with each memorized line!

Get a DAILY BIBLE VERSE in your mailbox!

Scoot over to the sidebar and sign up to receive a daily Bible verse in your mailbox.  Each weekday, I’ll be posting a variety of passages:

MONDAYS:  PROVERBS

TUESDAYS:  PSALMS

WEDNESDAYS:  OLD TESTAMENT

THURSDAYS:  NEW TESTAMENT

FRIDAYS:  Theme  (Starting September 16 through the end of the year, I’ll be posting GOD’S PROMISES)

More to come!

I have a confession – I’m severely technologically-challenged!  The whole notion of social media, HTML (which I’m convinced stands for “How TMake Life miserable), links, plug-ins, and so on, makes my palms sweat.  “But [God has persistently] said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” 2 Corinthians 12:9  So here we are.  The power of Scripture memory in action, right?!

Keep stopping by!  Lots will be added, changed, improved over time.  There may be will be glitches.  :(   Thanks in advance for your patience with me…and for being part of the Well-Versed Living adventure!

I’d love to hear from you!

Again, WELCOME to WELL-VERSED LIVING!  I’m privileged to have you visit! If you’ve got a question, comment, picture of your family learning, linking, or living God’s word, anything at all – go on over to my “Contact” page and shoot me an e-mail.  I’ll try to get back with you as soon as possible.  I’d love to hear from you!

Grateful for you, my fellow gold miner,
Caroline
